Hi,
Last year I took IHR with lump sum payment. Will this effect my pension entitlements when i'm able to draw them at the appropriate time?
Many Thanks.

They won't be affected at all.
Your pension is deferred and you're still entitled to whatever you'd built up when you left RM.
But the normal 5% per year early payment reductions will apply if you take either NRA60 or NRA65 before those ages.

I'm sorry but I cannot believe the amount of people who don't seem to have looked into the effects certain actions have on their pensions. Unbelievable. I mean, I know it's quite a boring subject for people, myself included but maybe now I've turned 50 in April and only got a few years for my Royal Navy pension, my RM pension to kick in I've actually got interested. A good lot of that information came from Robert T, who has given me more useful advice that the idiot in my nationwide branch.
