Add Years Contibutions

I have been buying added years for a long time now at about £16 per week and only have a few more years contributions to make up to a full final salary pension. Obviously this will cease to be the case at the end of March as no further added years can be purchased. Is it therefore possible to make a lump sum contribution before 31 March to buy the remainder of the short fall?

I think the best people to ask that question are either the Pension Review Helpline, contact details in the booklet we’ve recently received. Or the Pensions Service Centre, contact details on the pensions website.

In my opinion the answer is probably no, but there’s no harm in asking!
