As per the subject line, where is the £750?
Plus as some one else mentioned, where is our death in service?

Where is the £750 in RM new pension proposal

There are so many questions still to be answered with regards to RM’s new cash balance pension proposal:

Will we get a £750 bribe with this scheme?
What about death in service?
What is the accrual rate?
Who decides where the money is invested?
What are the tax implications of taking the lump sum?
Do we actually have a choice as to what we can do with our ‘pot’ at retirement in a similar way to a DC scheme?
How are current AVC’s affected, and can we pay in more if we want to?
Why do Section C members still have the LED reduction applied under Cash Balance?
There’s probably lots more!

This Securing Our Future’ booklet is one of the worst written things I’ve ever had off RM in my 30 years’ service. The lack of real information is staggering – how are we supposed to get a good idea of what they want to introduce if they don’t give us all the info? To me, it looks as if it was written by the spotty work experience kid!

I tend to disagree with others on here when they say that RM had this scheme up their sleeve all along. If they had, surely more information would have been forthcoming. I think both the CWU’s WinRS idea and the amount of correspondence they received during the consultation period, took RM by surprise. And they’ve come up with this idea very quickly – and it shows!

If anybody from Royal Mail is reading this, I'd like to remind you that I'm an adult and I would like to be treated as such. Thanks.

Probably they think we will do anything for a few hundred quid and given how they robbed our final salary pensions off us they just thought they might as well try for the rest of their gamble of making the workers pay for the profit margins they seek! After all they consider us all overpaid paperboys and think they can get us on the cheep from anywhere for just a few pounds in our pockets and we will ALL WORK FOR FREE even though some do work for free! But I cannot see most of the staff cutting their own legs off for such a dire offer and even so we all need to retire one day and at what cost to our living standards!

They may see me as an overpaid paperboy but I see them as overpaid c***s. I know which I'd rather be seen as.
