Hi
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between flexi plan and bonusplan?
I've 25 yrs service and hopefully another 20 to go and was thinking I could put another £10-15 a week in to my pension but have no idea which is the better option.Do Royal Mail match your contributions in both plans?
Also, as we are contracted out from the state pension how much state pension are we likely to receive?

I am in the bonus plan as far as can gather the bonus plan the royalmail matched it the flexi plan is just your payments but you can add more or less depending on your commitments.

Bonusplan is only available to Section C members and enables you to pay 4.5% of the Lower Earnings Deduction or about £150 per year. RM also contribute up to a maximum of the same amount.

Flexiplan lets you put in more or less what you want up to certain limits but doesn’t attract any more off RM.

Both options attract the benefits of tax relief and PSE.

We were contracted out of the ‘state second pension’ but that ended in April 2016. Everyone’s SP entitlement will be different based on their own work / National Insurance history, but you can get yourself a forecast of what you’re likely to get here: https://www.gov.uk/check-state-pension" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
