RMPP Pension illustation

Post by fly-catchers »

When you get the annual RMPP illustration in September each year it is (hopefully) a larger amount than the previous illustration. Does that increase reflect the inflation increases. Or the fact you have been paying more into over the year?

I am still waiting to hear about my EVR though it is still trundling along at the moment...

The NRA60 element is now effectively deferred but is linked to inflation and goes up accordingly each year.

While the NRA65 part does two things: what you’ve already got increases with inflation plus you also have another year to add to your pensionable service.

I would think a combination of the two. On my 2013 statement on page 3 it says as of September 2012 RPI was 2.6%. The CSDB pension blocks and the pension supplement, (I am a Section C member) were revalued b y 2.6% at March 31 2013.
On my 2014 statement it says a similar thing with the relevant figure being a revaluation of 3.2% at March 31 2014. According to the Office for National Statistics RPI was 2.3% in September 2014 so I am assuming that this will be the increase for this years statement, but don't shoot the messenger, I could be slightly out. Somewhere there will be input of the number of CSDB blocks. At the end of March 31 2015 we will have built up a total of 7. Hope this helps.
