tax on pension

i left royal mail in july and now live abroad i have got my pension from royal mail BUT i am still paying tax on it.i am now living on my RM pension and have no other income
who do i contact to stop paying tax on my pension??????

Unfortunately you do pay tax on your pension as it is regarded as income. :sad:
Hope you are settling in ok in Bulgaria and enjoying a well earned retirement!

For UK residents pension income is regarded as 'earned' income so is potentially taxed in the same way as your wages.Things can be a bit different if you move abroad and in some cases it will depend on the country you now live in. But you might find this useful:

thanks for the replys mates just im getting a LOT of grief from the missus saying i should not pay tax as its my only income :crazy:

The fact that it's your only income isn't really the point. It's the amount that you're getting that's important.
