What's happened to the pension valuation? It was stated in several news items some months ago that the latest valuation would be published in September this year (quote from BBC News online below), could it be that with the recent rise in the stock market the deficit is not £9 - £10bn and so no longer fits the current RM propaganda.
"When the latest valuation is published in September, it is widely expected to reveal that the deficit, as of March this year (2009), had ballooned to between £9bn and £10bn."
Perhaps someone should e-mail Jane Newell OBE Chair of Royal Mail Pensions Trustees Limited and ask her whats happened to the latest figures?
