Is that your age 60 benefits being paid from the RMPP as I think they are only responsible for some of the increases to those benefits.

You will get another letter from Capita who manage the Royal Mail Statutory Pension Scheme and the figures from them will be much higher, then add the two together to find your total NRA60 benefits which you built up between 2000 and 2012.
From 2012 to October last year you've also built up NRA65 benefits and presumably you're also been building more benefits in the collective plan which started last October.

Yeah you're right, 2012 was when the RMSPS started and most benefits earned before then are paid by them.
It's so confusing but this summery is correct (I think):

2008 - Final Salary ended, all benefits looked after by RMSPS
2010 - Benefits earned before 1st of April payable at 60 earned after, payable at 65
2012 - RMSPS founded and I think that they look after everything earned before 1st of April that year EXCEPT increases in the NRA60 pension blocks earned 2008-2010 which are looked after by RMPP.
2018 - Build up of annual pension blocks ceases and RMPP starts cash balance scheme.
2024 - 7th of October RMPP closes to further accrual and Collective Plan starts.

If I'm right then the original poster has a quote from RMPP for the inflationary increases (Max 5%) in his blocks that he earned 2008-2010 and the RMSPS will, through Capita, sand him the figures for his final salary benefits from 2000-2008 and the 2008-2010 pension blocks unrevalued.
Everything else up to last October is NRA65 2010-2012 RMSPS and 1/4/2012-6/10/2024 RMPP.

I just checked the conversion rate of giving up pension to lump sum and it came in at 26 to 1. This is unusually high, perhaps the low pension figures have distorted the ratio.

Has anyone else had any recent options figures who can confirm what their conversion rate is?
