You can take just your Age60 or just Age65, but you have to take all of those benefits – you can't just take a lump sum and leave the pension.
If you take your benefits before those ages, you'll see a 5% per year reduction.
It is possible to transfer your Cash Balance out to a personal pension and access the cash from there. But if it's value is over £30k, you'll need an IFA to approve it, which you're unlikely to get.
If you have AVC's, you can transfer them without an IFA.
Everyone is different, but the general rule is if you don't need it, don't take it early.Or just leave it till I retire?
