Hi all I currently pay in to an AVC with Scottish widows so when the contributions stop in October can I transfer this to a different pension.

Which pension/section are you currently paying into?

If you're in sections A, B or C and currently paying into Flexiplan and/or Bonusplan, your AVC's can still be used to fund the tax free lump sum with particularly NRA60 benefits. Or else you can transfer to a personal pension.

If you're in section F and paying into Flexiplan and/or Bonusplan you can keep your money where it is, or transfer.

If your in the RMDCP and just paying extra cash into that, you can keep it where it is or transfer, but you have to transfer the whole pot.

I have decided to opt in to the lump sum booster and continue paying the AVC in the same amount I'm currently paying in essence I will have three set of AVCs

Bonus plan
Flexiplan
Collective plan AVCs

I plan to take them separately NRA60 when due NRA65 a bit later maybe after a year or two to keep my tax bill down and finally the AVC.

My current Flexiplan is performing quite well giving me a decent lump sum while preserving my core pension.

Hope this looks right, I have opted to continue paying £110 a week as I'm doing now.
