As long as you satisfy the health conditions of not being able to work again and have the agreement of the trustee, your pension will be paid out in full as it would be at ages 60 and 65.
If you can get that, there's no reason not to take it as soon as possible.

If you don't meet those conditions, there's no ability to take it before age 55.
You can still take it anytime after 55, but the usual 5% per year early payment reductions will apply if taken before Normal Retirement Age.

You have access to your own statements, so you're in the best position to know how much you'll get.

New OH partners

Post by Terrance »

Hi all my phone meeting today with the new health partner today, he was asking me questions about my sciatica and gathering info and said I don’t think we have exhausted all possibilities yet so J think we need to give it at least another 4 months. I totally lost it with him and said I wanted to LTBIH with a lump sum payment and HR have already offered it to me which I acccepted I just need you to put it in your report so I can move on. He said I will have to speak to my colleague to see what we can put in your report. Anyone like me who is trying to get IHR and you know you should get it , if won t be easy
