Hi Please May I ask if You were to go from full time to part time are You allowed to continue to pay in the full time amount into your pension?

It may be the case Scooby, that your pension contributions adjust lower with your reduction of hours.
So you may be able to start paying the shortfall into an AVC pension top up pot.
It's just an idea, I'm sure someone will clarify the finer details.

If you drop your hours, both yours and RM's basic pension contributions will also drop, but stay at the same percentage.
If you're in the RMPP, you can't pay any more into the DBCBS, but you can pay AVC's into Bonusplan and/or Flexiplan.
If you're in the RMDCP, you can increase your contributions above the standard 6% of pay. But RM won't increase their percentage above 10%.
With either scheme, if you want to keep the full time percentage going in overall, you'd also have make up RM's contributions.
*Bonusplan does benefit from extra contributions from RM.
