Final salary supplement

Post by sweepster70 »

If I were to take my pension at 60, but retire at 65, would I get 2 years of the supplement before I get my Government pension at 67?

Yes, you'd be entitled to the supplement until state pension age and as long as you've left RM, and assuming you're in section C.

But it probably won't be paid automatically and you'll have to chase them for it.

I'm still chasing them for mine ! I rang them this time instead of an email , guy couldn't understand why I wasn't receiving it yet.
Said will be paid this month , if it isn't an official complaint will be next.

I received a letter yesterday from Capita telling me what my new annual pension is including the supplement and the monthly equivalent.
That I will start receiving this at the end of this month (October) and the backpay amount that will be included as well.

I finished on ihr in April I’m looking at taking lump sum 16 years service started 2007 any idea what payment would be and what does the other entitlement mean I’m clueless when it comes to pension , I’m 54 but won’t I be entitled to no deduction from pension if approved by the trustees?

spinal surgery

Post by Terrance »

Hi everyone I have just been told by my spinal physio that pain management and injections won’t be a good option for treatment, the consultant told her that my only option is spinal surgery. I have to wait a couple of months to have another MRI scan this time it’s sitting down ,and another couple of months to have a ct scan lying down. then another couple of months to have a consultation with my consultant and if I choose to have surgery it’s a long waiting list. Then I will have months of recovery all in all I’m looking at 12 months minimum could be longer and that’s just for normal every day things and even longer to go back as being a postman if that’s possible.I have already been off work for 11 months.I would think LTBIH with a lump sum payment is on the cards, has anyone else been in this situation?
