AVC's in the deductions column again!

For the second week running my AVC's are in the deductions column! I've tried phoning with a 60 minute wait! Does anyone know why ? be much appreciated..

Just a thought, but it might help if you give more info. Like your hours, the amount you pay in, any other payments that benefit from PSE, etcetera.

On the basic figure you've given of 35hrs (not sure what sort of contract/pay rate you're on) but using my basic pay rate, I get your
basic pay to be approx 468.46.

If you subtract your contribution of 90 gives 378.46. Divide that by your hours and that gets you an hourly rate of 10.81.
That is not far off the National Living Wage rate of 10.42 so you're sailing pretty close to the wind to drop out of PSE.
If you're getting other deductions on the left (My Bundle for example) that might affect it even further. Can't remember if the
Delivery Supplement is used in the PSE calculation.

Too much. I'm on 37 hrs. I'm putting £89.88 including Bonus plan. Just under the radar to remain in PSE. I increased my payment with the pay rise, but went way to high with £112.88. I lowered my Flexi plan to £87. But remember, you are on two hrs a week less. I would suggest around £85 total if you pay Flexi and Bonus plans.

I’m on 30 hrs. After the pay rise I increased my AVC to £87.50 per week. All was well and it was in the left hand column, within the PSE limit. I have since gone on holiday w/c 4/9/23 which just happens to be the start of Seasonal Variation. And my AVCs now appear in the deductions column for the last two weeks…
a) We are being paid exactly the same, so why the hell should anything change??
b) I am actually supposedly working 10 mins MORE each day, by starting 10 mins earlier each day but finishing at the same time, so why does the pay calculation work out that my hours are less, not more??
I just don’t get it.
I’m in Turkey, so I can’t phone them unless I want to pay £1.90 a minute to wait for ages in a queue.
So I’ve just got to swallow the fact that I have to pay full NI contributions until I can speak to someone when I get home.
Not bloody good enough. Nothing has changed pay-wise, so why should my PSE change?
Yes, it’s only a few quid, but I’ll never get it back…

Similar to my response to postperson46, I think on your hours and the amount you're putting into AVC's you're almost at the
National Minimum Wage and that's why your AVC's have gone over to the right hand side. Without knowing your exact pay
rate etc and using mine I get this:

Wage 401.40 approx, less 87.50 leaves you with 313.90. Divide by your hours gives approx 10.46 per hour almost the same/leaving
very little leeway to the NMW of 10.42. So you've probably gone below the NMW and that's why your AVC's have dropped out of PSE. I'd drop your contributions. The NMW went up in April.
