I got my pension and lump sum quote in March this year from the RMPP and RMSPS for my full 60+65 pension to begin in June when I turned 60. Come June, the RMPP increased the March pension quote with a 5% rise in April, which I believe happens every year, but my RMPP lump sum was still the same. The RMSPS did not increase their March quote for either my pension or lump sum.
I would have thought if my March RMPP annual pension quote is increased by 5%, then the lump sum would increase by 5%. I have tax to pay on excess AVC's, so thought these increases would reduce the tax due.
I have tried to get answers on this but the RMSPS especially are being very slow in giving a response. Any help would be appreciated.
