Section c question..

Post by roadrunner bill »

I've heard several ending dates of section c ... contributions..

I been paying into section c from 1989.. so did section c finish in 2008 , 2010 or 2012 ?

So would my section c pension be 19 years upto 2008. Or 21 years upto 2010.. or 23 years upto 2012..

Thank you if anyone can explain to me.. :thumbup

Section C replaced section B for new starters on 1st April 1987.

The final salary element of sections A, B & C continued until 31st March 2008.

That was then replaced by the average salary pension(CARE/CSDB) from 1st April 2008 to 31st March 2018.
Then by the DBCBS from 1st April 2018 to the present.

But you would have remained in section C the whole time, as that is based on the date you joined RM/the pension scheme. Unless you chose to opt out along the way.

So you are still in section C!

I would hazard a guess your pension contribution on you wage slip reads 'PSE Adj RMPP DBCBS C'? The last letter denotes the section you're in.
