Age60 benefits

Post by yorkmover123 »

Am in section C, my NRA60 benefits(up to 2010) given me options to take lump sum and part of my AVC to fund the lump sum and a annual pension

Why Do you also receive some of your cash balance fund at age 60 and will I be able to carry on contributing to the age 65 pension

The DBCBS is specifically 'attached' to your RMPP benefits, which is everything accrued from 1st April 2012.

The RMPP are also responsible for some inflationary increases to your RMSPS benefits from 2012 onwards. Therefore some DBCBS can be assigned to those increases and taken with NRA60.

You stopped building up any more NRA65 pension in 2018, since then you've been paying into the DBCBS.

You can continue to pay into the DBCBS as long as you don't take your NRA65 pension, are employed by RM and the scheme remains open. Once you've taken that, no more payments in the RMPP are allowed, and that includes AVC's(Flexiplan & Bonusplan).
