I hope someone will be able to assist me. I took my RM pension at 55 years old and will be able to apply for my UK government pension next year (2023). For the last few years I have been living in Thailand and, more recently, in Laos. What I would like to know is will I have to inform
RM pensions that I will be receiving my government pension and will that affect the payments I receive from RM. I have found it difficult to get any response from RM pensions when I email them and I have not received any 'paper' mail from them for the last 6-7 years (No P60 or notification of increase in pension) so any information from this forum would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Richard

I can't think of a reason why you would have to inform RM pensions about reaching State Pension Age(SPA).
Your RM pension may be reduced if you're in section C, as those members get a supplement until SPA. But I assume they know your age and losing that will be automatic?
As far as I'm aware there are no other possible reductions on reaching SPA.

Where do you have your pension paid to? If it's a UK bank account then why do you need to tell them? Is your state pension frozen, by that I mean, no increases if you live in your chosen country. Don't you have a UK address you can use for correspondence? Tbh I wouldn't tell them, but each to their own.

Most European countries and a select number of other countries have a 'social security agreement', which means state pensions will increase for people from the UK living there.
But there a large number of countries where that isn't the case. Laos and Thailand are 2 of them!
