I'm 36 year old worked for RM for 19 years I'm not in the pension scheme my health has deteriorated over the last 4 years got took from outside delivery last march to work in callers office due to falling for no reason since been inside I've had numerous falls inside and my neurologist has diagnosed it as spastic paralysis and my walking has got worse there's day i can hardly bend my leg or lift it I've been on the sick since may and had my telephone interview with OH she said on the phone she was putting in her report that there was no role i could do in RM does this mean she'll be putting me forward for ill health retirement if so what happens next in the process and if i get offered it how much am i looking at as a payment thanx for reading.

It sounds as if you probably will be offered IHR. I which case it will be 34 weeks pay plus (I think) 12 weeks PILON.

Thanx for your response it sounds like from HR ill be offered IHR but due to my manger been on the sick its taking for ever to get sorted .

I'm not sure PILON is paid in normal circumstances. It may still be 12 weeks notice but it's unlikely to be paid in lieue of notice.

Keep paying wages for 12 weeks or pay it in one go.

I would have thought, if anything, PILON would be the cheaper option for RM.

PILON is paid at the same time as the lump sum. The PILON is taxed, the lump sum isn't.
