non payment of regular RMSPS pension

Post by stephen500 »

Well today is the 30th April and the last working banking day of the month and my RMPP has arrived, but my RMPP pension which I have been getting since Nov 2020 has not arrived in the bank account yet and is not showing as pending.
I have had my p60 end of year certifcate with my yearly increase for 2021/22.
I have rung my bank and it is not any where to be seen yet, so I will wait till 9 am to ring RMSPS.
I have looked at my RMSPS portal and can't see it there.
This is the first time it has not arrived.
Any one else? Ie check yours.

Just rang them. They assured me it just looks like an admin error, prob to do with the increase.
It has been escalated.
I am not desperate for the money. But other longer retirees might be.
So check yours and see if you have had your payment today.
It could take up to 10 days to get my payment.

Hi today I've had both pensions paid the smaller one royal mail pension not royal mail stat pension. Is £26 less than it has every month last year. Why is this please. Have I suddenly started paying tax. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Go to
Register, using the post office identity service if need be and then check your tax for this tax year.
If need be, ring them.
They are normally very good and will amend it by the next pension payment

Ring them.
You can check the RMSPS on line first and check your pay slip.

I got my pension payment as an emergency payment, it was an admin error to do with the increase that is due.
So I am straight and I got a little extra for the increase.
I will check RMSPS with about a week to go, at the end of May, to make sure it does not happen again.
They were very good though and I got my money before the end of the day, by ringing them.

Got both increased pensions today. Though still have not received the pension increase letter from RMSPS. Got the RMPP one a few weeks ago. And no P60 yet either. I do know the P60 from RMSPS is on the back of the increase letter.

My code for this tax year for Rmsps is 1081L and for RMPP it is 175T, giving me zero tax for both pensions for this year.
Just make sure the tax codes for both pensions are enough to give you the same, ie no tax. (So do your tax codes cover the whole of your pensions.)
As long as you do not have another income.
Contact Hmrc by phone to assign enough tax codes to both, as I said to be more than your pensions.

If yours, as you say like mine, says zero then RMSPS or RMPP should not be collecting any.
Contact pensions as you say and HMRC if need be.

Just had a webchat with someone from tax office and it seems although tax codes split between both pensions they are not split correctly so going to update and give refund.
