TRADE unions will take the Government to court on Monday over changes to the way pensions are calculated.
The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union, which represents a wide range of workers in Swansea as well as across the UK, will be taking part in the case next week.
The PCS is one of seven trade unions which will be taking the Government to court.
The unions are appealing against a High Court decision last year to approve the switch from the Retail Price Index to the usually lower Consumer Price Index for the uprating of pensions.
The case is set to take place at 8.30am on Monday at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand in London.
A protest by trade union members will be held to support the Royal Courts of Justice.
The PCS will be joined by the Communication Workers Union, the Fire Brigades Union, the teachers union, NASUWT, the Prison Officers Association as well as Unison and Unite.
