This may seem an odd question but the reason I am asking is because I am about to go to an unfair dismissal tribunal and I need to know if I would have been on the RM pension scheme. If I recall correctly RM were bringing in a new scheme, earlier this year, effectively enforcing a contribuary pension. Is that correct?
If so does anyone know when it came into effect.
I think I was dismissed before the scheme kicked in. If so I think i have a justifiable case to say I would have had a pension had I not been unfairly dismissed.
thanks alot

Re: Quick question about the pension scheme
If you started work with RM before April 2008 you will a member of the final / career salary scheme.
If you started after that date you would be in the 'money purchase' scheme, but not until you've been employed for 12 months.
Hope that helps.

Re: Quick question about the pension scheme
thanks for that. I started in March 2010 and was dismissed April 2011. I am safe to say then that I would have eventually been on the pension scheme, had I not lost my job?RobertT wrote:If you started work with RM before April 2008 you will a member of the final / career salary scheme.
