Dear Colleagues,

Time to Deliver Royal Mail Pension Fund Deficit Lobby

Tuesday 26th January 2010, 2pm – 4pm
Room CR10 - House of Commons

Further to LTB1106/09 and LTB 028/10. This LTB is to urge branches to finalise their arrangements for the forthcoming lobby of parliament on Tuesday January 26th, in Room CR10 House of Commons.

It is widely accepted that legislation being will not be introduced prior to the General Election on the Pension issue in Royal Mail. The measures identified in the report Time to Deliver identify a number of solutions which do not require legislation.
Specifically

A) Download a copy of the CWU document Time to Deliver Royal Mail Pension Deficit. Available at http://www.cwu.org/49901/royal-mail-pensions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

B) Contact members of Parliament in your area and advise them of your intention to seek a meeting with them on the subject of Royal Mail Pension deficit.

C) Advise your Regional Secretary of anticipated numbers from your branch by Thursday 21st latest.

Hard copies of the Time to Delivery document will be being despatched to CWU branches later this week. Together with this, members of Parliament and the House of Lords will be sent hard copies and emailed.

This LTB is being emailed today to assist in forward planning.
