I'm 99% certain that you're entitled to the pension supplement as soon as you leave royal mail , as long as you're over 55.
I'm also pretty certain I was told by rmpp that it's dealt with by capita (rmsps) as it's attached to your nra60.

Thanks for your comforting saga! Does that mean you are without income?

It was for me a pretty mind blowing exercise sussing everything out before taking the plunge and it hasn't been easy since taking the plunge.
When I received my p45 an attached letter stated the psc would be automatically informed of my departure -it seems they were not.

On the hmrc advice sheet in the retirement pack it says hmrc will get in touch with us to ensure the correct code - they did not.
My understanding is that RMPP is linked to HR and pay,whereas RMSPS is a stand alone outfit! Ie The PSC (RMPP) should receive p45 details and should be updated tax code wise automatically and for RMSPS (Capita), we may have to do some ringing around to them and HRMC.
