I did 18 days of strikes, I've now left but i get nothing, how is that fair. I don't even get the back pay even though I was there for nearly 2 months after 5th April. The CWU have totally failed to take this into account.

I wonder if, legally, Royal Mail can withdraw the pay increase to those who were working in April but have since left. I would email Payroll/HR requesting the increase for period you were employed with them. This same thing happened to my wife (not Royal Mail) and she just emailed her payroll office and was paid the increase due. So worth a try.

Did we not have strike days on consecutive weeks in December? If your 1 week off in 6 and no annual leave in December you surely had a strike day on your day off, or am I missing something?

Yes you are missing something. ..the polnt of my post. If you read it properly i am asking about backpay.

Thanks to the posters who responded to my OP questions. Seems this subject is quite 'a can of worms' and has not been handled very well by the trustees or Royal Mail. Good luck to you all who are still employed in Royal Mail and let's hope that we pensioners don't get 'bitten on the bum', by the decision of the trustees, at some future date.

I think the amount in the escrow was so small compared to the size of the fund by the time any issue in the fund started becoming a genuine risk to members the escrow money would be like throwing a thimble of water at a bonfire anyway.

Royal Mail still has full liability for any deficit in the scheme.

In my 20 years at Royal Mail, the pay rise has never been backdated for everyone even those that have left. Its always been the case that a specific date has been set and you have to be in Royal Mail employment on that date.

For example. (these are not real just an example)

Pay Backated to 1 April 2023
You leave on 1 May 20223
The agreement is reached on 8 July 2023.
The agreement states must be in RM employment on 15 July 2023.

You wouldn't get the pack pay.

So what is the cut off date with this agreement?

It will be in the paperwork somewhere but it is normally around the date of the agreement being voted in.

If I can find it I will post it here, but real life is getting in the way at the moment.
