Removal of "Twilight Shift"

Post by bargeephil »

I was handed a letter on Friday the the 22nd Feb. At the top was Removal of Twilight Shift, because 2 years ago I lost my job on the lsm and was displaced I was given a pressure duty on the twlight duty, this is now being taken away from me , only those of us who hold pressure duties not the actual duty holders, so the heading is wrong it should read Removal of Pressure Twilight Duties, the letter says it is a preference exercise and gives us the choice of afternoons nights and mornings, I am happy as I am, I had an interview last June regading staying on the shift heard nothing from that interview, so left thinking what is going on.
My Office is due a revision on duties, what should I do ? should I ignore the letter as it is a Preference Exercise? Some people are on this duty because they are on "family friendly hours" should they be given prefence over others.
