Lieu days

Post by bigtee »

Having been leave reserve now for 2 years, most of the time i got 40 hour duties, but over the last few months i have only been getting 27 hour duties. Last week i was placed on this duty again 27 hours, even though people who have joined RM after me are getting 40 hours! some are on 40 hour nights plus 15 hours o/t because of the pressure period. Last Sunday night my daughter was taken into hospital so i had the stress and worry! of being at my daughters bedside while the doctors tendered to a heart defect.

So yesterday i returned to work to be greeted with why haven't you rang since last Wednesday?, not an ounce of compassion not even a how is she! NOTHING! just why haven't you rang!. I went on to explain that i was stressed out, with all what was happening to my daughter and it just slipped my mind.

Anyway the duty i have been put on is like this Mon 1400-2010pm tues 1345-18-15 wed 1330- 1830 thur 1330=1830 fri 1345-1830, so the manager gave me a couple of special leave forms to fill out for the Monday plus a lieu day form for the Tuesday then another special leave form for Wednesday - friday, when i looked at the forms she has put down for a lieu day on the Tuesday which will generate me the massive amount of 4hours 10 minutes, she also said i only have 1 lieu day left.

Two questions

1) Why didn't she give me the lieu day for the Monday which would have paid 5hours 40mins.
2) I have my leave print out which says i have 1.5 days remaining, will 4hours 10 mins count as a full days lieu?

Seriously getting f___ed off with how i am being treated tbh

Hang fire a bit mate all the reps are probably still at work - see you have posted the same message in Union Room that one is most likely to get a response.
