What have we Gained ?
When we in the GMC decided to go along basically with the rest of the country and put in for a local ballot just before the national one management put in new duties,start times,done away with rotations and done away with certain duties {sundaynight starts replaced by part timers and some full time duties on the backshift}. The start times on the nightshift were changed so the nightshift wouldn't qualify for days in lieu when you work a bank holiday.The management put all this in under E.A.

The CWU could not control the large number of local disputes taking place so they called a national dispute and got an agreement which is basically a commitment to talk. The local disputes were then called off. We have gained nothing but RM has gained breathing space to plan their next big assault on us in the new year.
