GLASGOW MC MAIL DIVERTED TO HULL MC
Received a letter today at my home address, in the KA area of Ayrshire which was posted by my wifes friend from another KA postcode.......that is intra mail that would normally be processed in Glasgow Mail Centre, except this was processed in Hull Mail Centre dated the 23rd September....at least we know now of one area that is handling the scab mail!

Perhaps because of the threat of Hull being closed and absorbed by Leeds.
Not that handing this mail will make any difference.

Re: GLASGOW MC MAIL DIVERTED TO HULL MC
you will find that the staff in HULL refused to touch the mail they brought in and got managers in from other shifts to do the mail and this was diverted to hull via doncaster as they couldnt cope with the ammount of mail they had taken so have a morn at doncaster mail centre and get your facts right firstLounge Lizard wrote:Perhaps because of the threat of Hull being closed and absorbed by Leeds.

Linkinpark, are you out there ?
You should read this thread. This sort of name-calling and in-fighting is EXACTLY what happens when only a handful of offices are out on strike. Lots of finger-pointing and name calling when legally, people have no choice if work is diverted to their office, because to refuse to handle it would provoke unofficial action which is illegal. Having only 10-15% of offices on strike actually assists Royal Mail in their efforts to 'divide and conquer,' and creates bad feeling within our own ranks between offices that are supposed to stick together !!!
The CWU should desist from holding any more token strikes during the ballot process and hit RM hard with a short, sharp ALL OUT National Strike when a Yes is returned. Doing things this way is devisive

Apologies to anyone offended by my original post that was not my intention...i know that you only follow orders from these people...however the tone of it was more that our strikes are not having the proper effect while our mail centres are still working...........EVERYONE is going to have to go out for us ALL to get anywherewoofwoof wrote:

Re: GLASGOW MC MAIL DIVERTED TO HULL MC
We did indeed recieve the mail from glasgow via another MC and we did process it but no one came in on overtime to do it,
it was done by the managers who were in the MC,and we made sure we processed our(HULL)mail 1st before touching the glasgow mail as i believe is the proper way of doing the mail.
Our MC is fully behind the strikes and will get a big YES VOTE
