Anyone heard of or know if their MC has got any London Diversions recently. I have heard rumours about York, Leeds and Sheffield can anyone confirm, deny or add any more candidates.
Also is it being done on OT as well.

Re: LONDON DIVERSIONS
Last i checked Leeds no, but will ask again (and ask about YOrk and Sheffield).
Can anyone explain how they can sort london mail that far afield? Do they bring the computer programmes and plug them into the machines or something?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: LONDON DIVERSIONS
true, but the union's disjointed action has partly caused this situation.Stems back to the last dispute, when we had them over a barrel, then called off the last 48hr strike, could of virtually named our terms, but let them off the hook BIG time!POSTMAN wrote:Regardless, docket shouldn't of been done!hubbahubba wrote:Down to bad union tatics? We should of all been out at once, and a long time ago!johnnyp wrote:Thats bang out of ordercolleagues doing this work on docket when members are losing money to get a national deal

Manchester MC doing strike mail from everywhere
Its open docket and full of casuals but it comes as no suprise, during the executive action that closed down 2 MC's (sk and ol) they offered no support what so ever
They have been doing Londons,Edinburghs, baths and bristols

All these MC's that have been handling the strike mail should hang their heads in shame

Re: LONDON DIVERSIONS
My MC failing on all 3 shifts for over a week by 10,000's of items,50,000+ mech mail alone on fri late shift. Its because they are processing the DIV mail before the local so that they don,t get a fine from postcomm-joke!weetrogg wrote:Manchester MC doing strike mail from everywhere![]()

Re: LONDON DIVERSIONS
At our mail centre each shift seems to be failing at the moment, possibly our MC has being doing the same, Saturday morning when I headed home there were some yorks of diverted mail, i don't think the early shift for the weekend even touched it, probably due to lack of staff. There doesn't seem to be any spare capacity anywhere in the system to allow for anything going wrong.hubbahubba wrote:My MC failing on all 3 shifts for over a week by 10,000's of items,50,000+ mech mail alone on fri late shift. Its because they are processing the DIV mail before the local so that they don,t get a fine from postcomm-joke!weetrogg wrote:Manchester MC doing strike mail from everywhere![]()

Re: LONDON DIVERSIONS
There are no excuses in the world which explains why another mail centre does someone elses work when they are taking strike action especially on extra shifts and overtime.
what ever happened to basic trade union prinicples. Has the union in these mail centres campaigned amongst their members not to volunter for extra duty when others are fighting a national battle.
The truth is you might as well cross our picket lines if you decide to do our work on extra shifts or belate your work on overtime.
This work is not your work but that of those on strike therefore you should not earn out of it and should push it to the wire and not touch it.
Anyone who tries to argue that it is the way the cwu have conducted this dispute to missing the point and looking for excuses.
i have been in the job for over 25 years and it was always a strong point in our trade union that mail centres and RDCs didt handle each others work unless agreed by the mail centre who"s work it is.
Quite frankly some reps and members should hold their heads in shame because they are no better than the CMA if they choose to perform work of those who are fighting for a future.
