Back to using cardboard sleeves today in addition to existing Red, cortex etc.
Presumable this would be due in part to the excessive amount of cortex inserts which are broken.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If the doors are broke, they're still perfectly useable for large and trays of flats and letters

Re: Cardboard Sleeves
Just how many people across Royal Mail are being employed to manufacture, repair and maintain these plastic York inserts? Who could otherwise by engaged in something productive, like processing, sorting or delivering mail and parcels. How many injuries have been caused by the sharp edges of these things? And back injuries having to manually handle loads at ankle height?

Re: Cardboard Sleeves
We are already using yorks with broken doors for large boxes, we were mending straps a month ago.
IMO It seems apparent someone needs to take "Ownership" that the scale of the breakages means employees are being taken away from essential work ,as stated in a previous post, & will be continuously.

Re: Cardboard Sleeves
or they could use red sleeves for all the work to office but that would be far too sensible

Re: Cardboard Sleeves
The interesting thing about that is... You don't actually need any type of insert in the yorks for large parcels or trays.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑28 Nov 2023, 22:00If the doors are broke, they're still perfectly useable for large and trays of flats and letters

Re: Cardboard Sleeves
The white yorks are such poorly constructed we always have over 50 yorks every night that are a health and safety issue - we were told the red ones are going to be gone soon so white ones only... hope everyone has there shovels
