Post by el nelmso »

Hi, I'm considering transferring to a mail centre on the night shift. Please could someone advise what the weekly take home pay is roughly please. Thanks!

Everyones deductions are different.

Based on full-time 37 hours.

My gross pay is £574.51.

Made up as follows.

Basic pay. £458.04
Processing supplement £10.34
Night shift allowance (Non Pens) £50.15
Night shift allowance (Pens) £55.98

Hope this helps.

Have you had the transfer confirmed because my understanding that next year nationally on Processing they are ripping out more hours operationally. My MC is supposed to be losing 700hrs across all shifts at least. If you are just considering a transfer and not put it in yet you might find u may have to wait until they have done the cuts.

If that's true then we'll be failing massively on all shifts, we sometimes fail as it is. It's possible that DOs are going to have to get used to the mech being at best walk sort only on wave 1 and as manual on wave 2. The mech staff might all end up on packets, Tracked and if they're SD locker trained, on the SDs

Same with my place - we are going to see hours cut next year and because of this, we won't be filling vacant duties. So I'd be quick with the transfer request

At this rate we'll have probably a dozen proper RM staff on each shift and the rest will end up being agency/casuals
