Heard that the ceremonial opening of the MSH is tomorrow (Fri 30th), obviously no-one I speak to at NDC has been invited ! No doubt the champagne will be flowing as great and the good all congratulate each other on such a marvellous endeavour before they leave it to collapse into the usual chaos !
Anyone wishing to torture their friends ‘n’ family have the opportunity to book a slot on 12th July for a visit to the MSH, up to 4 guests per booking ! Imagine the joy in your partner’s face when you reveal the destination of the special family trip out that you’ve arranged ! I’d be embarrassed to go on my own ! S’pose there’ll be a chance to mop up some stale cucumber sandwiches and prawn vol-au-vonts.

Re: Midlands SuperHub Grand Opening
It'll be interesting to see what the domino affect is on 2C as when them MCs lose their 2C, they're going to want to grab 2C from other MCs. Somewhere along the line some MCs are going to lose some or all of their 2C and T48 packets

Re: Midlands SuperHub Grand Opening
i work at the other hub....
i hope they tested and tested parcels through the belts
they didnt at "the other hub" they used boxes and nothing else so hitting there targets seemed dead easy
but in reality when packets turn up and the machines cant read barcodes and you end up with countless yorks being
shipped of to local mail centre because the hub cant process them seems a pointless exercise

Will the local MC have the staff to process them as chances are their realignment will have been based on traffic lost to the hubcentenaryman wrote: ↑02 Jul 2023, 20:54i work at the other hub....

Seemed to be having a great time, well the usual lot on RMTV, which I found hard to be as enthusiastic, as the superhubs will eventually take all our work and probably make me redundant

Indeed, trailerloads of “unsorted” parcels are being taken to NDC all the time, they’re not even counting the Yorks when they load them.
