CWU
MAIL CENTRE SURPLUSES
The CWU have been activity engaging the employer in a bid to secure an agreement / joint position on the issue of Mail Centre surpluses. We know how serious an issue this is for our members.
We have met Royal Mail on numerous occasions at senior level and exchanged documents as part of that process. We got to a position earlier this week where the Postal Executive endorsed an agreed way forward. Subsequently, Royal Mail backtracked from this position.
We cannot and will not accept this way of working. The issue has now been escalated to the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief People’s Officer. An urgent meeting has been requested. We will not allow this issue to drag on any further.
We are meeting our Area Processing Representatives tomorrow and will update members on the next steps as soon as possible.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
