Makes me wonder why RM are installing PSMs in MCs as if a lot of parcels are gong to be sorted at the parcel hubs, it kinda makes it a waste of time and money having PSMs in MCs. A PSM isn't needed for a basic 4 way split (1 for intra and 1 each for the parcel hubs).

Either RM will need to make final dispatch times later or for a good few MCs this mail will simply fail as it won't make the final runs to the DOs (and that's assuming that there'll be capacity every night on the final runs to DOs)
Thought the idea was any thing Shoe Box Size or Over went unsorted to Daventry or Warrington for Processing
That won't work. Most of the yorks of "large" are a right mix of small and large, Tracked and non-Tracked mixed together. You'll sometimes get the odd SD mixed in as well. They'll need to be able to handle all that at the hubs
my mail centre is losing all their heavy and large - despite the fact that the psm can do most of it. Not all in one go as understand it will be spread over 6-12 months. My worry is that we will lose the T48 smalls as well :(
If we do that it will kill 1 shift entirely.
I wonder what they'll do at the hubs with all the smalls that end up in the yorks sent to them. Depending on travel time they might be forced to process them smalls as we won't have the time to process it by the time it arrives at the MC. I'm assuming that when the lorry arrives from the hub, the lorry will be unloaded and the yorks wheeled straight to the bays for each DO run. They'll need to arrive at the MC in time for our final dispatch or the DOs will have to send vans to collect it. Either that or it'll fail
We were getting mixed smalls and H&l from the Christmas parcel hubs that we were supposed to simply cross dock on arrival to the DO lorries - in this case it didn't work as the quality was complete rubbish.

If they made the final dispatches much later, the DOs furthest from the MC will end up automatically failing any 9am SDs as by the time they arrive at the DO and are sorted there, there won't be enough time to reach wherever they're going unless the address is within walking distance of the DO. We also can't be much later as the early shift need us out the way so they can start processing the 2C and Tracked 48
