Re: Yorks
While we're on the subject, anyone know why a very few yorks have different colour bases? 99.9% of them are yellow (apart from the brief experiment with the thin grey metal-frame bases, which are flimsy as hell, presumably why the experiment was brief), but you'll see a very few with a dark green, red, or occasionally blue base. What's that about?

Re: Yorks
Other firms use their own yorks, the few with the different coloured bases belong to other firms, and for whatever reason they've ended up in RM's network.
Anyone know why a few yorks have a red bar of metal at the back, near the base?

Re: Yorks
The ones we use look exactly like a metal shopping trolley from the Co-op etc (but don’t have a fold-down seat for a child!). Much smaller though. They just hold loose pieces of mail.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑29 Jan 2023, 21:11The only trolley that I can think of that looks even remotely like a shopping trolley are the ones we use to hold trays. They more commonly get used at dispatch times where you have trays on them, going from frame to frame collecting all the mail for one selection

Re: Yorks
Most likely only your MC uses them shopping trolley style trolleys, I've never seen any in use locallyLockardian wrote: ↑30 Jan 2023, 02:34The ones we use look exactly like a metal shopping trolley from the Co-op etc (but don’t have a fold-down seat for a child!). York ALP Sleeve to give them their full name - The ALP part means Auto Levelling Packet Sleeve.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑29 Jan 2023, 06:54
Think ALP is another name for the sleeves, some offices refer to them as shrouds.
