Doxford Park/Reed (Q's)

Post by indk »

Hi,
I am just wondering if anyone could tell me, or share their experience on, an approximate date when the Christmas-temp workers receive notice from the agency (Reed)? From what I am aware of I passed the assessment (91/100, around 870 TPH?) & am currently awaiting upon some form of official correspondence from Reed. Everyone who applied for the vacancy (both unsuccessful as well as successful applicants) were sent an email stating that Reed had filled the available vacancies, & that if the reader had already been successful at the assessment they should ignore said email. I'm getting concerned (or impatient, :P ) as to whether or not I have made it through I suppose.

Thanks in advance

Far from it tara, the assessment was quite misleading tbh. Still seems easy enough, it's just getting used to all the data entry modes/my speed & efficiency that are concerning me personally. Just hope I can last the next 3 & a bit weeks :P

Anyone know how much training actual RM employee's recieve when being taken on for a permanent position? 3 days (or nights in my case) seemed a tad short that's all. Not complaining, just wondering if it's the same duration :)

Does your shift manager threaten to take you "into a corner" or "out to the car park"? That's really hell and what some people have had to put up with at Stoke. When they've complained Rugby didn't want to know. So much for bullying and harassment policy, doesn't apply to managers. :dcfo

Oddball, are you trying to flag up management wrongdoing using this site on the pretext that management trawl through it? As someone who also works at Stoke MDEC I know exactly what you're talking about. However, given that Rugby aren't interested in taking action against the individual concerned (due to grade), and the fact that these issues have also been raised via HYS without any action being taken either, it is clear that RM will not take action over the same info being posted here. What we need to do is forward details of all incidents to the press and see if that gets their attention enough so they take action. Having the fact they have what I can only describe as a thug running an office of over 100 people isn't something they would want in the news.
