Introducing myself

Hi,

This is Emma. I'm looking to find out more about how the Unions work and current feeling in the industry. I'm a journalist by trade, but this isn't for publication; it's more to get an idea of where things are going/local post office closures etc. It's all a bit concerning.

Welcome to the site and I hope you get a feeling of the general level of morale at the moment. Just one word of warning Royal Mail have allegedly disciplined and suspended posties for making comments on this forum, therefore, if you do use comments placed on the forums please contact the poster by PM before publication. Also please bear in mind that this place is treated like a canteen where the Union, Royal Mail and sometimes the General Public sometimes come in for "ripe" comments as a way of getting rid of frustration, I honestly believe that some may make inappropriate comments on here but none would carry them out or say them out loud for the public to hear

Apart from that any questions please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to help.
