24 male From Birmingham, sympathetic with workers but look at the chaos been caused.
Credit card bills etc, people are going to be charged for missing payments.
Do you have any sympathy?

WELCOME TO ROYAL MAIL CHAT THE BEST POSTAL FORUM
blueyeltz. I personally before I joined Royal Mail was dead against strikes. However after working here and seeing how arrogant the senior management are and that they were not willing to negotiate, I firmly believe we had no choice but to strike.Also most Credit Card companies are waiving their charges for late payment as long as people have made an effort to pay on time - and are not using the strike as an excuse.

I dont think its just Credit Cards that are a problem, everything is Chaos and is bound to cause the public stress to get their payments, bills etc into shape before they are charged.
"as long as people have made an effort to pay on time" - Should they have to? I think Royal Mail workers should offer to make all the phone calls to get these problems resolved or perhaps this is something the management should do?

There's lots the management could have done to avert industrial action, but they chose not to. The job is now run by a couple of wide boys with a string of failed 'business initiatives' behind them such as the bankruptcy of Leeds United and the debacle over the new Wembley Stadium. For some reason, the Labour Government thought they might be up to running Royal Mail.
