Moved during application process

Hi I have just been offered a postman job today and they are now processing the security checks.

This application process has been going on for 3 months previous to this and I have since moved address. ( closer to the DO as it happens).

However, I noticed that hey mention you cannot change your address while in the application process and obviously all the info I provided was to my old address.

Because of this I have kept quiet but I'm extremely worried now that this is going to cause issues. Can anyone advise me on what would be best to do? Would it be possible to keep quiet and announce the change of address once I start?

Also another quick question. At what point will I receive my contract? And will this be sent to my address?

Do they send this after the security checks or would they have already sent this to me prior to those? The person I spoke to on the phone when they conditionally offered the job did not mention anything about the contract.

Not known anyone in this position so can't make any recommendations either way.

IIRC Contract comes at the point they offer you a start date and contract. Definitely after the security checks. The contract will get sent to your address and any subsequent ones will also.

Ok many thanks for your reply. Guess I better get mail forwarding ready then! I can hopefully just get the address changed to my new one... once I'm in the job!
