Fact finding interview

Post by festershut »

Busy day at work yesterday. Informed manager that I might go into overtime and I asked if I would get paid, she said no. I then informed her I would be fetching some mail back then as I wasn't working for nothing. I even phoned whilst out on my duty to double check if she wanted me to complete and get paid, but again no. Today I go into work and get welcomed with a 'fact finding interview' as to why I didn't complete. Forgot to mention, I also took half a row of another lapsed duty, and as a result fetched about 20 minutes of work back from my own duty. I now believe she is going to take the matter further.

Can they get away with this? Essentially they are bullying and harassing me into doing unpaid work. This is wrong on so many levels.

They are also hypocrites. I can't fetch any mail back, but yet every day in our office there are full duties left undelivered due to being understaffed. Yet it's ok for them to leave mail.

It's getting out of hand.

What are the union doing?......nothing.

I'm seriously stressed.

Did you invite a union rep into the meeting with you?
…if not then what did you expect them to do
…if so then this is basic stuff for even a poor rep to deal with
