All the best to you and your family mate! Just like you, I have a wife and two kids who are very pleased they don't have a scab in the family.

Yes, the terms are interchangable.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

scab (skb) 4. Slang A person regarded as contemptible.
5.
a. A worker who refuses membership in a labor union.
b. An employee who works while others are on strike; a strikebreaker.
c. A person hired to replace a striking worker.

So you're right not a scab - well done.
par·a·site (pr-st)

1. Biology An organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host.
2.
a. One who habitually takes advantage of the generosity of others without making any useful return.
b. One who lives off and flatters the rich; a sycophant.
3. A professional dinner guest, especially in ancient Greece.

Well he works when not on strike and that helps generate revenue for the survival of Royal Mail - No that does not fit.
Well again he has a useful return on his work (you get mail) so that's not right either.
As he went on strike and did not kowtow to the propaganda of the highest paid civil servant ever, that does not fit either.
Ah - better stop inviting him to dinner than Stavros if this is the only definition that fits.
