Advice needed asap please

Hello!

My names amy and I've just joined this forum in the hope you can help me!

My husband Lee has worked In Rm for just over a year now as a dom. He's a good man, served in the forces, wonderful daddy and generally the dogs doodahs ..

The past 6 months I've seen him change. Snapping, isolating himself,etc until 4 weeks ago when he completely broke down. I've always seen messages from his boss which are vile and speak to him like a piece of muck. Lee decided that he would tell them he would like to be demoted as the jobs starting to make him Ill (4 dom's previously left with stress as there is never any support or back up). His boss said no and wouldn't entertain listening to Lee any more.
The day after, Lee woke me at 5:30 In a state. For the first time in his working life, he went sick. The doctor has diagnosed a nervous breakdown. He has stress, depression, anxiety and now ocd. My wonderful husband now barely talks, won't leave the house, can't sleep at all, he is broken and lost.
We understood that lee will get 6 months full pay as he's been there a year. Is this correct?
I've been in touch with an employment lawyer for advice but I could really do with some more. I don't know what to do. I only work mornings so I can't support all of us. I want my husband back. Any advice would be much appreciated

hello amy, the only advice i know would be to contact union, i nearly had a breakdown because of B&H from my DOM, put up with it for to long, went through the union,won my case,best thing i did.Hope it works out for you both.

First of all sorry to hear of your Husband's situation, I have met some good mangers they are the ones under the most stress as they are being asked to do abominable things which goes against their nature, while the nasty ones thrive on it.

That would be his first port of call, help is never too far away, sadly too many people I know didn't, let your husband know that he has your support and whatever happens you will be there for him.

I'm really sorry to hear this, unfortunately I'm not surprised.
I hope he recovers and gets back to his old self.
