How does ot work? Do you claim before you go on your walk if so how do you know if you'll need ot? What happens if your on your walk and you realise you wont finish in time? Can you do the ot then go back and book it in?

No you must get authorisation from the manager either before leaving or as soon as you realise you are going over.
