Advice sought

Post by bjdav14 »

Hello,

I have started as a new Postman in Essex on a Saturday 3 month contract which I thought was at my local office as advertised but after a few weeks they keep sending me to different offices and I would like to know if this is the norm as this was most definitely not in the advert. if this is the norm can I claim travelling time or expenses or am I daydreaming.

thanks

Yes its normally since 2007 when it was introduced under the P&M 2007 agreement which included flexibility. There are posts on this subject on the forums so I suggest a quick search of them, but in essence you start from your office and end at your office and they have to provide either the means to get you to the other office, or reimburse you.
