hello everybody
1st post so be gentle with me...ive been a postman for over 24 years so know what we've had before got now and dread for the future...Can someone shed anylight on what when submitting leave forms for the coming year (2014-2015) with my wife who is a postwomen do the managers decide who goes with who.... My wife is junior to me in seniority and we have always been told that i go with my wife due to the fact she works on a different shift...This has been fine for years until recently my office manager tried changing the goalposts....Just interested really if anyone else has experienced managers trying it on when married post couples submit there leave forms
thanks

Re: leave forms
the leave in our office is done thus
forms have to be by a certain date - any received after the date do not go into draws for any weeks that are over subscribed
married couples, best mates, drinking buddies makes no difference unless leave for a specific reason is submitted in writing and authorised by the DOM everyone is treated the same
if weeks are over booked all the names go in a hat - you either get pulled out or you don't
not sure why you would think you should be given preference because you are married to someone else in RM - where would it stop?
