Design student - royal mail design project!
Hi everyone! I wasn't sure exactly where to post this but I think I'm in the right section. Just a quick introduction - I'm currently a product design student of Derby university embarking on a project to redesign the delivery methods royal mail employees have for mail distribution. This is all for my final year project this year.
So at this stage I'm currently conducting initial research on the matter in order to go forward, and Royal mail themselves weren't playing ball and providing me any information.
So I was hoping the members of this site could spare a few minutes to attempt a simple questionnaire on survey monkey to help me in my cause!
forgive me for the crudeness of the first questionnaire, and if anyone has any information of contacts within the business or any other channels to reach as many employees as possible ( I'm based in Birmingham if that helps) or on the ground research I can conduct in one of the delivery/ sorting offices it would be much appreciated!
here's the link -
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HZPTPPZ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm still on this site and on Facebook if there are any groups I can use for feedback!
thanks everyone!

You need to change those parameters mate otherwise everyone will be in the 120 mins or above and you won't learn much.3. How much time on average does each delivery round take for you to complete?
How much time on average does each delivery round take for you to complete?
Less than 40 mins
40-60 mins
60-90 mins
90-120mins
120mins plus
The average delivery round is about 4hrs or 240 mins.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: Design student - royal mail design project!
I was also looking on facebook and noticed that there's a group on there of this forum, and was wondering if anyone could allow me to join there ( who's a member here) to distribute my line of questioning further.
I'm a complete novice in this area so If my questioning or anything seem daft, forgive me and please correct if need be - I've read what I can online but there's little I can do with second hand info!
I'm simply trying to submerge myself into the day to day issues and problems the job presents so any tweaking or specific survey questions I can ask will be most helpful.

TBT and Postman are called Susan?
That is some coincidence..........
Unless they are one and the same person?

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Design student - royal mail design project!
anyone got any idea why the top brass at Royal Mail are so uncooperative? I know that the whole privatisation process has put a different spin on things and their no longer obliged to provide information, but its like trying to bleed a stone trying to contact the right person from the swathes of phone numbers and emails on the website. The woman at the contact centre was really defensive and guarded when I asked for a name higher up in the pecking order.

by the way thank you for allowing me to be a member of the facebook group - I'm simply going to repeat my message here there more or less and post my link for the questionnaire, I'll take it forward to a second one if need be from there. Thanks everyone and keep filling / passing it on to others if you can!
