Hi guys,
Today was the end of my second week with RM. So far everything has gone fine, but today the guy I've been working with just dumped me on the road with 7 bundles of mail plus 3 packs, in an area I only saw once before, I was pretty lost. I called him to ask for help and he said he coudn't do anything because he only had 1 hour to finish his walk and go home, so he got the Manager to call me. I said to the Manager I found the bag was far too big and I didn't know the walk. He sent me someone to help and we did the walk together. Am I supposed to say something to the Manager next week? Or should I just go in and see what is going to happen? Is it something they do to test your limits? I want to settle into the job but I don't want to lose my health over it. Thanks for your advice.

Welcome to the wonderful world of RM.
If you're P&L then your driver shouldn't have just dumped you and cleared off on his own, plus by the sounds of things, your bag would have been too heavy, lots of issues for you. On Monday you should speak to your coach and he should let you know what you're supposed to be doing.

I've also talked to some guys who have been there longer than me, they said it is something that happens for a newbie.
The chap who came to help me has offered to take a couple of hours out of our own time (day off)
to walk my duty and get to know it so to get that part of the stress out of it, I will do that if it helps.
Still not sure about the weight of the bag, I think it was well over the 16 Kg but I had no scale with me.
I just have to clarify with my Manager and my driver next week and ask them not to leave alone as yet specially with a heavy load.
