Just another quick question, do the security checks include obtaining employment references or do royal mail obtain these after the security checks? Just wondering when to hand in my notice.
Thanks

Re: Pre employment checks
The online status for my secuirty checks went from start to completed in 7 calendar days. RM don't have sufficient details to get a work reference for me so I assume they don't want one. The checks were completed 7 days ago and I am still waiting to hear from them - the last email was a conditional offer pending the checks being passed, so I guess I've got the job but have no idea when I'll be starting.

Re: Pre employment checks
Hiya,
I'm in a very similar position. Ive been conditionally offered a job as a Postie
but I'm worried about my sickness record! I don't go off sick but this year (very recently) I've been off for 2 months
(genuine reason of course). I am now fully recovered and am looking foward to starting but I'm wondering if this sick leave will count against me during the pre employment checks? could someone please put my mind at rest and tell me that it's not a problem!
Thanks in advance
