hi all, ive just got an opg job and have just been told that on the 23rd i have to go to sheffield for an induction then the following day would be my first day of work, i was just wondering if anyone can tell me what these induction entail?? cheers!

Normal stuff:

Introduction to Royal Mail, H&S Brief, Union stuff and form filling etc (next of kin declaration, bank account details etc etc), you might even get a tour of the Brightside operation. Make sure you have all the documentation they need if they are asking for any, if they are not then don't worry about it.

Just a simple initiation ceremony to make sure your tough enough,and of course stupid enough to work for Royal Mail,it may seem harsh at the time but it's essential to help build teambuilding moral.......or at least let your future colleagues take their frustrations of the job out on the new guy!
